Course Overview

Commandos throughout History have been the small unit leader in Special Operation Missions. The Commando can work with a team or individually to accomplice the vital mission necessary to help win the day.

The COMMANDO COURSE is a Special Operation training course that combines small unit Special Operations skills necessary to complete high risk, cannot fail missions into a three day training course. The course is held by the Military Training Center and it's modeled after Special Operations Warfare training programs at the team level. It is designed to provide proficiency tactical employment of Special Operations Operators. During this course students, will be instructed in small unit movement, land navigation principles, surveillance, area defense, route planning, demolitions overview, Enemy Prisoner War (EPW)/information gathering, infiltration/extraction, introduction to non electric and electric firing systems theory, overview of patrolling tactics, Survival Evasion Reaction Escape (SERE) techniques, overview of weapons theory, battle drills, all of these culminating in an exercise evaluating the candidates ability to achieve the mission. Military, law enforcement, and other government units are welcome to apply. You will receive an intensive full-immersion theoretical and practical commando course in accordance with current military standards by qualified instructors - with years of verifiable real-world experience - coming from the NATO countries and friends’ Armed Forces. You will learn how to operate in hostile environments covertly using skills obtained in this course. It will be a challenging and comprehensive training program that will provide the attendee with the requisite skills for operating in a combat environment with emphasis on conducting covert operations using Special Operations tactics.

Course Schedule (changes are possible):

Day 1: Classroom instruction, warning order, mission planning, mission debrief, mission visual aids (sandtable/models), overview of demolition theory and firing methods, covert surveillance and tracking, 4km ruck march timed.
Day 2: Overview of Day 1, intelligence gathering, long range reconnaissance, reaction to contact, SERE techniques, operations a the objective, communications, reporting procedures and tools, overwatch/sniper/operational defense and cover during movement to objective 4km ruck march timed, obstacle course.
Day 3: Overview of Day 1 & 2, culmination of the course into an examination of skills learned ending with a timed ruck march of 4km, awarding ceremony.

Prerequisites:

Applicant must have basic tactical skills & experience from the military and law enforcement fields. Must be able to participate in intensive training lasting up to ten hours per day. Must not have any medical restrictions. The candidate MUST have completed successfully the COMBAT INFANTRY COURSE.

Requirements:

Military/Police ID card (or if civilian Passport and copy of your Criminal Record), Medical certificate (You must bring these documents with you).

Required Equipment:

Combat uniform, boots, headgear, helmet, goggles, body armor and tactical vest, belt and tactical holster, tactical rifle sling, tactical gloves, knee protection pads, pack or rucksack, improved first aid kit (IFAK), personal retention lanyard, hydration system, balaclava, scrim net, flashlight, multi-tool (i.e leatherman), folding knife, tactical sunglasses, eye & ear protection, rain and cold-weather gear (we train in ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS!). Chemical light sticks, survival lighter, tactical duct tape, paracord 550 rope, climbing carabiners, waterproof bag, binoculars and other personal tactical equipment are strongly recommended!
Any unit specific equipment issued to you that you wish to bring. (We strongly encourage you to bring and use your normal issued equipment). We will provide weapons, ammunition & gas masks as needed.

Please note that accommodation, meals and transfers are not enclosed in the package. Accommodation per person and night with breakfast and dinner included in hotel around 4km from the facility: €35 (You required to share with one or more, max 4 persons. Single rooms are available on extra charge).
We can offer transfers from Naples Airport or train station to the hotel and back. The cost for this will be from approx. €100 each way. (This cost may be shared by the travellers).
