Course Overview
The BASIC AIRBORNE COURSE is a military static line parachute jump training course designed for the individual with basic military skills and experience from the military and law enforcement fields. The course is held by the Military Training Center and it's modeled after Airborne training programs. It is designed to provide airborne capabilities to military, law enforcement, and other government agencies. You will receive an intensive theoretical and practical airborne training, in accordance to military standards, by highly qualified instructors coming from NATO's elite forces. The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the basic static line parachuting techniques and tactics. These parachuting techniques and tactics are being used worldwide by airborne and special operation forces. During this course the student will acquire airborne capabilities, skills and knowledge required to execute safe parachute jump operations with military round canopy parachute. Static line techniques and tactics, parachute jump procedures, behavior below the parachute, malfunctions, emergency landings and parachute landing falls will be emphasized. This course will start with the common fundamentals of military static line parachuting and will quickly progress to more advance tactics and techniques. You will perform parachute static line descents with current operational military round canopy parachute systems. You will learn not only the tactical capabilities of a military parachute but more importantly - you will learn the tactical capabilities of yourself! This course is also open to former military parachutists that need a refresh.
Course Schedule (changes are possible):
Day 1: Classroom instruction, equipment check and review, ground training.
Day 2: Ground training.
Day 3: Ground training, examination.
Day 4: Parachute jumps.
Day 5: Parachute jumps, awarding ceremony.
Prerequisites:
Must be able to partecipate in intensive training lasting up to ten hours per day. Must not have any medical restrictions.
Requirements:
Military/Police ID card (or if civilian Passport and copy of your Criminal Record), Medical certificate (You must bring these documents with you).
Required Equipment:
Combat uniform, jump boots, jump helmet, tactical duct tape.
